Cultivation methods and precautions of hydroponic Guanyin bamboo

Hydroponic Guanyin bamboo is very easy to grow. It is a very suitable plant for hydroponic cultivation. Hydroponic cultivation not only saves time and worry, but the leaves will also evaporate more water, making the indoor air more humid, and people will be more comfortable in such an environment.

Cultivation method of hydroponic Guanyin bamboo

Before hydroponic cultivation, all leaves that are to be placed in the water must be removed, and care must be taken to completely expose the green and yellow stems. This can prevent the water from becoming smelly and also prevent the stems from feeling slippery. Then place the plant in the prepared container, and that's it.

1. Pruning:

It is best to trim the leaves of the Guanyin bamboo you buy from the market or the Internet first, because some leaves will become soft and wilted due to lack of water during transportation. After pruning, it will help the entire plant recover faster. Remove the leaves that are closer to the bottom and do not let the leaves soak in water.

2. Water quality:

When growing Guanyin bamboo hydroponically, you must pay attention to choosing good water quality. It is best not to use tap water directly. Place it in the sun to dry for a day or two before use. It would be even better if you can collect rainwater to grow Guanyin bamboo. Do not fill the bottle with water, about 3/5 will be enough.

3. Nursing:

The Guanyin bamboo that has just been hydroponically cultivated should be placed in a cool and ventilated place. You can cover the bottle with a cloth for the first few days. The dark environment can allow the roots to grow better. If the weather is dry, you can spray some water on its leaves to keep them moist. After about ten days, new roots will grow. Then place it in a place with scattered light.

Precautions for the maintenance of hydroponic Guanyin bamboo

When caring for hydroponic Guanyin bamboo, you should pay attention to the minimum temperature which should not be lower than 10℃. Too low temperature will affect the normal growth of the plant. Use pure water, preferably sun-dried water. The water temperature should be similar to the indoor temperature. In winter, you can place it in a full-light environment. Generally, fertilizer can be applied every 4-5 days in spring and autumn, once every 1-2 days in summer, and once a week in winter.
