Bird of Paradise Transplanting Precautions When is the best season to transplant?

The best time to transplant the bird of paradise is from March to May or from September to November. The temperature during these time periods is suitable for transplanting, and it can quickly adapt to the new environment and resume growth. If it is transplanted in hot weather, it will be infected by pests and diseases. If the weather is too cold, the plant may be frostbitten and the soil will freeze, which is not conducive to the recovery of the bird of paradise.

Points to note when transplanting bird of paradise

1. When transplanting the bird of paradise, ensure that it has sufficient sunlight. Avoid being burned by the scorching sun in summer and take appropriate shading measures. This will promote the bird of paradise to bloom early.

2. The roots of the bird of paradise do not have too many capillary roots, most of them are thick taproots. After cleaning them, check whether there are rotten or damaged roots, trim them in time, and then apply wood ash on the wounds. After applying, let it dry for half a day to a day before planting.

Bird of Paradise Transplant Management

After transplanting the bird of paradise, you can water it thoroughly once, and then when the soil is dry, water it thoroughly again in time, and after it adapts to the new environment, it will grow new roots and branches and leaves, and thinly apply organic fertilizer to dilute the water. With proper maintenance, it will take root in one month. The bird of paradise likes the sun, so after transplanting, it must be guaranteed to have sufficient sunlight, but in summer, it must be avoided from being burned by the scorching sun.
