The autumn heat is here. If you do these stupid things, your flowers will die immediately!

The autumn heat is here. If you do these stupid things, your flowers will die immediately!

When watering in the beginning of autumn, don’t water these two kinds of plants!

1. Freshly collected cold water

I don’t know if you have noticed that after the beginning of autumn, when you turn on the faucet, the water becomes ice-cold after a while. This is because the underground temperature has become cooler and is not as high as in summer. It is best to let the water for watering flowers dry for 2 hours before use.

Especially flowers that are dormant in summer, such as Kalanchoe, succulents, and cyclamen, are now slowly waking up. If they are suddenly poured with cold water, they will easily be irritated and die. Flower lovers who have dormant flowers at home must pay attention.

2. Fertilizer water without fermentation

The temperature difference is large after the beginning of autumn. If you use unfermented rice water, fruit peel water, bean dregs water, or milk water to water the flowers, the water will rot and generate heat in the pots, and can burn the flowers to death. Unless the flowers are particularly hardy, nine out of ten will die if you water them!

Huahua has talked about many methods of fermenting fertilizer water. It is nothing more than putting rice water, fruit peel water, bean dregs water, milk water, etc. into a transparent plastic bottle, placing it on the windowsill to dry in the sun, opening the lid for ventilation every two days, and it will be mature in a month. After it is fermented, add water to water the flowers.

If you change the pot carelessly, the flowers will be ruined immediately

Recently, many flower lovers have asked me if they can change the pots now? Huahua suggests waiting until it cools down before changing the pots, no matter whether your flowers are in good or bad condition, changing pots in hot weather is like the gate of hell. It is best to wait until the temperature drops to around 25 degrees, so that the risk of changing pots is small!

If you must change now, Huahua has a good method:

1. Control the water before changing it until the soil in the pot is dry

2. Trim off the messy roots in a cool place, as the fine roots have no meaning of survival.

3. After pruning, let the plants air dry and avoid exposure to light. It is best to have some soil on the roots so that they can adapt to the pot more easily.

4. Let it air dry for about 3 hours, then plant it in a new pot. Be sure to compact the soil when planting so that the flower roots can better adapt to the new environment. Finally, water it to help it take root, or you can water it with a solution of carbendazim, and then place it in a cool place to acclimate.

The sun after the beginning of autumn is so hot that you will die.

1. Forcing the flowers to bask in the sun, regardless of whether they live or die

The flowers that have gone through the summer are almost half dead. Although it is cool in the morning and evening after the beginning of autumn, it is not only hot but also dry at noon and in the afternoon. It is easy to kill them if they are moved out to dry in the sun.

Flower lovers who have time can move the flowers out to dry in the sun in the morning and evening, and move them back or provide shade when the sun is strong. Don’t forget to spray water around the flowers in the morning to increase the humidity of the surrounding air so that the flowers will not dry out and become dehydrated.

2. If you stay indoors, your flowers will turn into yellow-faced women.

Some flower lovers find it troublesome and simply keep their flowers indoors without drying them in the sun. This is wrong! If you don't make the transition now, your flowers will not only grow too long, but may also turn yellow and die.

Since you can't take them out to dry in the sun immediately, you can only take it slowly. First put the flowers in a well-lit place in the house, move them to a location with scattered sunlight after 1-2 days, and take them to the balcony for direct sunlight after 3 days. Don't forget to spray water around the leaves to keep them moisturized.

I can't bear to prune it, so I let the flowers grow wildly

1. No matter how long the branches are, they will become more and more damaged.

It is normal for flowers to grow tall in summer, but if you don’t care about it after the beginning of autumn and let it grow too tall, then the flowers will be ruined.

Whether it is succulent or other flowers, branches that are too long must be pruned off to save nutrients and control the plant shape. The branches cut off from succulents can be used for cuttings again, and 1 tree can be turned into 10 trees in a second~

2. Regardless of the diseased and insect-infested branches, the more the disease spreads

Flowers with diseases and pests are difficult to cure even if they are sprayed with pesticides. Some insects even lay their eggs inside the stems, which will cause an outbreak again the following year. If you don't take care of them now, there will be endless troubles.

For flower branches that are prone to insect diseases, they must be cut off quickly, even if only a little is left. The more the flowers are cut, the faster they will grow, and healthy new branches will soon grow.
