Spring maintenance methods for blue stone lotus

After the temperature gradually rises in spring, resume watering. After the temperature stabilizes, it is recommended to move it outdoors for maintenance.

The sunlight in spring is not very strong, which is very suitable for the growth of blue stone lotus. There is no need for shade, just put it in the sun to bask in it!

In spring, the blue stone lotus can be repotted after 2 to 3 years. Depending on the growth of the plant, you can change the pot to a larger one or change the soil. The soil is usually a mixture of peat soil and coal slag. The soil surface is paved with river sand.

Summer maintenance methods of blue stone lotus

Blue stone lotus will sprout flower stems in early summer, but will slowly enter a dormant period after flowering, so watering should be gradually reduced. Once the temperature exceeds 35°C, move the plant to a place with bright diffuse light and keep it in the shade.

However, when the indoor temperature is 25℃, the blue stone lotus can grow normally and its dormancy period is not obvious, so it can be maintained normally at this time. But be careful not to water the center of the leaves when watering, and provide appropriate shade, otherwise it will easily die in the summer.

Autumn maintenance method of blue stone lotus

By mid-September, when the temperature drops, you can slowly resume watering.

In autumn, blue stone lotus grows rapidly. Remember to apply thin fertilizer once a month to replenish nutrients in time. It will be easy for the pot to overflow!

Winter maintenance methods for blue stone lotus

In winter, you can give water when the temperature is above 0℃, but you must cut off the water when the temperature is below 0℃, otherwise the blue stone lotus will easily get frostbite.

Although it is cold in winter, the temperature should not be too low when keeping plants indoors. It is absolutely unacceptable to go a winter without any water. You can give appropriate water to the roots of the plant, but do not spray or water heavily. Do not keep water on the leaves or leaf core for too long in winter, as this may cause rot.
