The fruits that Chongqing produces in abundance include Baiyang lemon, Bishan grape, Fenshui plum, Anxi grape, Maoshan tribute peach, Qinglong pear, rose orange, Tongnan yellow peach, Wanzhou kiwi, Tongnan lemon, Wanzhou red orange, Liangping pomelo, Xikou bayberry, Chengkou millstone persimmon, Jinxi red kiwi, Baohe pear orange, Fuling longan, Fengdu Jincheng orange, Tongjing pear orange, and Pengshui peach.

Fruits suitable for planting in Chongqing

Chongqing has a subtropical monsoon climate with plenty of sunshine, abundant rainfall, great regional climate differences, and diverse specialties. The Guanggan produced here has tender flesh, moderate sourness and sweetness, and a slight aroma.

2. Yunyang Red Orange

Yunyang red oranges are mainly produced in Yunyang, Chongqing. Yunyang County has a long history of citrus cultivation and a superior geographical environment. The climate is warm, rainfall is plentiful, sunshine is sufficient, and four distinct seasons are featured. The Yunyang red oranges produced here have a deep orange peel with a very thin skin and red flesh that is plump, juicy, sweet, sour and refreshing.

3. Oregano

Sheep horn pear is mainly produced in Wulong, Chongqing, and has a cultivation history of more than 250 years. This kind of pear is different from ordinary pears. It has a round shape, very similar to an apple, with a beautiful golden skin, tastes more fragrant and juicy, and the flesh is white, crispy, tender and has a very good taste.

4. Wanzhou Red Orange

Wanzhou red oranges are mainly produced in Wanzhou, Chongqing, and have a very long history. The red oranges here are bright red in color, large in shape, easy to peel, sweet and sour in taste, refreshing and juicy, and of very good quality. They are the first Chinese citrus fruits to go global.
