How to plant durian seeds

1. Soaking and germination

Soak the seeds in clean water for about 3-7 days. During this period, you need to change the water once a day. After soaking in water for a few days, small cracks will appear and roots will grow out. If you want it to germinate faster, you can also use sphagnum moss to germinate it, and then plant it when the small roots grow to about two centimeters.

2. Prepare the soil

Prepare a flowerpot and fill it about 80% full with soil. Do not press it with your hands after filling it, otherwise it will cause the soil to become compacted, which will be detrimental to future growth and rooting. Then spray water appropriately to keep the soil moist.

3. Planting in pots

Plant the germinated durian seeds into the prepared potting soil with the buds facing downwards and arranged neatly from the inside to the outside. After planting, cover the surface with a layer of gravel or medical stone, and spray water appropriately to make the seeds and soil completely moist. Place it in a cool and warm place for maintenance, and seedlings will grow in about half a month.
