How to sow Cassia tora

How to sow Cassia tora

Introduction

This is a form of sexual reproduction that is widely used and is also the one we are most familiar with.

Specific steps

Choose seeds; we are all familiar with the selection criteria. It is best to choose seeds that are plump, not attacked by pests and diseases, and well-developed.

Choice of time: This is different for the north and south. If you are sowing in spring, the temperature in the south will rise faster, so you can sow earlier, in late February to early March; in the north, relatively speaking, you can sow later, in mid-March to late March. However, if sowing is done in autumn, then the opposite is true. In the north, it can be done earlier, at the end of August; in the south, it has to be done later, generally at the end of September.

Preliminary preparation: In fact, it refers to disinfection and germination treatment. Whether it is the substrate or the seeds, it is best to disinfect them before sowing. In addition, it is best to germinate the seeds, so that the survival rate of the seeds will be higher. However, this step is not necessary because good quality seeds have strong germination ability.

Formal sowing: We can choose the scattering method, which is to scatter the seeds evenly on the substrate. You can also choose row sowing, which means sowing according to a certain row distance and plant distance. Whichever method you choose, the process is similar. After sowing the seeds, cover them with a layer of soil and compact it. Next, add some water.

Post-management

The first thing is watering, provide enough moisture. In addition, appropriate shading measures must be provided. Also, weeding is very important. If you are sowing in autumn, you can also provide some cold protection methods.
