Maintenance of Osmanthus fragrans

soil

The culture soil for Osmanthus fragrans can be mixed with six raw materials, including sand, fine slag, cake fertilizer residue, pond mud, peat, and river sand, in a ratio of 7:1:2:4:1. Apply organic fertilizer containing phosphorus and potassium fertilizers in the basin to enhance the delayed effect, and the sandy soil must have good drainage.

Fertilization

Apply organic fertilizer and replace the pot every two to three years. May is the growing season of Osmanthus fragrans. Fertilization should be increased to once a week and the concentration should be increased accordingly.

Watering

Water once a month during the growing season, but not too much. During the flowering period, watering should not only be timely but also appropriate, so as to ensure that there will be more flowers and the smell will be more fragrant.

illumination

Osmanthus fragrans is a sun-loving plant and it is best to have full sun exposure. Slightly poorer light will not have much of an impact.

temperature

Osmanthus fragrans is relatively cold-resistant and likes both warmth and heat. 18-28℃ is the best, and winter temperatures below 5℃ will affect growth.

Precautions for cultivating osmanthus fragrans

When first planting, some basal fertilizer needs to be placed in the pot. The three things that management is afraid of are moisture, cold and exposure. Use more organic fertilizers and less and more cautious chemical fertilizers.
