How to reproduce red spot grass

How to reproduce red spot grass

Seed propagation of red spot grass

The sowing propagation of red spot grass is suitable for spring and autumn. The cultivation medium should be loose and fertile sandy loam, and the base fertilizer should be applied in advance before sowing. The suitable temperature for seed germination is about 20℃-24℃. It usually germinates about 5-10 days after sowing. The growth temperature needs to be maintained at about 15℃-25℃, and it should be placed in a well-ventilated semi-shaded environment.

Cutting propagation of red spot grass

The cutting method is adopted, which has the advantage of high survival rate. First, cut the plump and strong top buds or branches of red dot grass, with 2-3 nodes on each branch, insert them into the sand bed, and maintain suitable humidity and temperature. During the cutting period, you can also use Sudaduo diluted 1000 times to spray it, generally once every ten days to promote rooting, so that it will take about 3-4 weeks to take root.
