How to care for lilies in a vase

Lily Vase

When we buy lilies, we can put them in a vase. Note that the water should not be too full. The water height should be about 3cm higher than the water absorption point.

Lily pruning

When putting lilies in a vase, be careful to prune them. If you want lilies to stay fresh for a long time, you must prune them in time to prevent them from rotting.

Generally, the flower branches need to be pruned every day. You don’t need to cut too much when pruning. Just cut off about 1 cm of the lower end of the branch. This will keep the water absorption points updated, allowing the lilies to absorb fresh water every day and prevent them from rotting in a short period of time.

Pay attention to changing the water when placing lilies in a vase

When caring for lilies in a vase, be sure to change the water frequently to ensure the water quality is fresh. However, you don’t need to change the water every day. In summer, you can change the water every two days, and in winter, you can change the water once a week. In spring and autumn, it is enough to change the water every 3 days.

When changing the water for lilies, in order to make them grow better, we can add some feed to them, that is, add a few drops of nutrient solution into the water to supplement the nutrients needed by the flowers.

Sometimes, in order to make the flowers grow better, we need to spray them with water and maintain a high air humidity, so that the flowers will look brighter.
