How to breed Silver Star

How to propagate Silver Star: cuttings

Silver star can generally be propagated by cuttings.

Silver Star can be propagated by cuttings all year round. Of course, the best time for propagation is spring and autumn, because this is the growing season for succulents. Silver Star grows well, the leaves are fuller, and the survival rate of cuttings is relatively high.

Silver star cuttings can be selected from rosette-shaped top branches. Remove this part and insert it into the prepared soil. Keep the temperature at 20-24℃. Generally, the seeds will take root 15-20 days after planting.

Silver Star propagation method: leaf cuttings

Silver Star can also be propagated by leaf cuttings.

Choose thick leaves, cut off the mature fleshy leaves at the base, place them in a cool and ventilated place to dry the wounds, lie them flat and insert them obliquely into the prepared soil, and keep the soil slightly moist. Generally, adventitious roots and small plants can grow from the base of the leaves about 10 days after insertion, and then they can be transplanted.

How to propagate Silver Star: division

Silver star can also be propagated by division.

When propagating Silver Star by division, you can use the side buds at the base of the plant, the new buds that grow from the remaining stems and roots after beheading, or you can divide the plant in groups.

However, Silver Star generally does not harvest seeds, so the sowing method of propagation cannot be used.
