Cultivation methods and precautions of Tiger Jasmine

Cultivation methods and precautions of Tiger Jasmine

1. Soil selection

Tiger jasmine is a difficult flower plant to maintain, so you need to be careful in your daily maintenance and management. The soil needs to be loose, breathable and well-drained. It can be made by mixing garden soil with rotted sawdust. Its disease resistance is not strong, so the soil must be disinfected after preparation to completely remove the pathogens and insect eggs in it.

2. Plenty of Sunlight

Providing sufficient sunlight can promote the growth of tiger jasmine. During the normal growing period, it can be kept on a balcony with good lighting. Full exposure to sunlight can promote healthy growth and vigorous flowering. However, the situation in summer is very special, and sunshade measures need to be taken to avoid direct sunlight.

3. Water in time

Tiger jasmine likes moisture, but is afraid of waterlogging, so you must pay attention to the method of watering. When it is kept in the sun during the growing period, you can give it water in time to meet its water needs. Especially in summer, when the temperature is hot and the evaporation rate is fast, you can water the plants once a day. From late autumn to winter, you need to start controlling the water. Each time you water, you need to water thoroughly and control the amount of water so that there is not too much water accumulation.

4. Reasonable fertilization

In order to ensure the growth and flowering of tiger jasmine, fertilization should be timely and reasonable, once a month during the growing period. Organic fertilizer or slow-release compound fertilizer can be chosen, and the concentration should not be too high. In addition to root fertilization, spray foliar fertilizer once a month.

5. Notes

Tiger jasmine is a mutant variety, so its resistance to diseases and pests is very poor. Ventilate it more often and pay attention to disease and pest prevention.
