Difference Between Daffodils and Lilies

1. Different bulbs

The bulb of daffodil is covered with a brown membrane and is oval in shape.

The lily bulb has no skin on the outside and appears white.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of the former are relatively flat and narrow and ribbon-like in shape. The veins on the surface of the leaves are parallel. The mature leaves are about 30 cm long and have no petioles. There are also differences in color, the overall color is hazy green, covered with a layer of pink frost.

The leaves of the latter are narrow and linear in shape, brighter in color, and appear to be grass green, which looks darker.

3. Different flowers

The flowering period of daffodils is around January and February in spring. They have umbel inflorescences with 6 petals. The overall color of the flower is pure white with a yellow crown in the middle, which looks fresh and refreshing. Its flower shape is relatively small, and it looks petite and cute.

The lily blooms around June. Its flowers are funnel-shaped and the overall color is white, with only the stamens in the middle being yellow. Its flowers are relatively large, spreading outward and opening, which is quite beautiful.
