How to grow primroses on the balcony and what to pay attention to

How to grow primroses on the balcony and what to pay attention to

1. Lighting

Primroses love light and need good light to maintain their growth needs. If they lack light and stay in dark places for a long time, their growth will be seriously affected. Not only will it be difficult to bloom, but they will also have growth problems and may even become weak and die. Primroses are generally grown outdoors. If they are grown indoors, they can be placed on the balcony to maintain the light requirements and ensure good growth and development in the later stages. Although it likes sunlight, it is afraid of direct sunlight. When encountering strong direct light, shade measures should be taken.

2. Watering

It prefers moist conditions, especially with regular watering during its active growing season in spring and fall. However, the soil in the pot cannot be too wet, otherwise the roots will rot. The temperature in summer is too high and evaporation is vigorous, so watering is needed more frequently, twice a day.

3. Humidity

The weather is very hot at noon, and you need to spray water around the plants to increase the air humidity and lower the temperature. Especially in summer, more attention should be paid to spraying water and the temperature in the growing environment should not be too high.

4. Fertilization

When potting, you should apply enough base fertilizer at the bottom of the pot. After that, it will gradually enter a period of vigorous growth, and you can apply fertilizer every 7-10 days.
