When to plant ginseng seeds

When to plant ginseng seeds

1. When to plant

This type of plant is usually sown with seeds in April in spring, when the temperature is around 10-15°C, the soil has become soft from the hard state in winter, and the weather conditions are suitable for sowing, so sowing at this time is conducive to seed germination. In the southern regions, seeds are mostly sown in November. It has a strong ability to resist the cold, and sprouts can be produced at this time.

2. Breeding methods

1. Seed processing: Select full and healthy seeds and soak them in clean water for 48 hours. Wait until water enters the seeds and they become fat, then take them out of the water. Mix some finer-grained sand into nutrient-rich leaf mold to create a soil with good drainage and ventilation properties. Bury the seeds in the soil prepared in the previous step, then water it slightly to allow the soil to have a certain amount of moisture. After about two months, the seeds will open a small opening, and it will be suitable for sowing.

2. Sowing method: Choose a flower pot with small holes at the bottom, then put some loose and nutrient-rich garden soil in the flower pot, make a few small holes about two finger joints deep in the upper layer of the soil, put the open seeds in and bury them. After the operation is completed, place the flower pot in a place with some sunlight and take care of it carefully. It won’t take long for small buds to grow.
