Is mountain sedge poisonous?

1. Toxic

Mountain sedge is poisonous and very toxic. When recording its characteristics, it was described as: sweet, spicy, cool, and highly toxic. To describe it as "big", you can imagine how toxic it is. If livestock accidentally eat it, they are likely to be poisoned and eventually die. (1) First, it removes toxins and reduces swelling. External use can treat some carbuncles, ringworms, etc.

(2) Second, after being steamed with wine, it can be applied externally to treat bruises and injuries and accelerate wound healing.

(3) Third, it has a special therapeutic effect on diseases related to the lymph nodes, such as lymph node tuberculosis and some inflammations.

3. Precautions and taboos

Because of its toxicity, it can only be used externally and cannot be taken internally. And when using it, the amount should not be too much. Consult a physician before use.
