How to grow green radish more vigorously in summer?

Many people like to grow pothos at home. This plant is loved for its shiny green leaves and heart-shaped appearance. Pothos grows very quickly and usually does not require much care to quickly produce new branches and leaves. Its branches hang down naturally, forming a beautiful landscape similar to that of spider plants. With the arrival of summer, some flower lovers may mistakenly believe that the green radish will enter a dormant state, and therefore reduce the frequency of watering and fertilizing, which may cause problems with yellow and rotten leaves of the green radish. So how can we grow green radish more vigorously in summer?

1. Appropriate light

Pothos is a foliage plant, and its leaves need moderate light to remain shiny and healthy. However, it is not advisable to place the green radish directly in strong sunlight, as this will cause the edges of the leaves to begin to turn yellow, and eventually the entire leaf may be affected. The green ivy prefers a semi-shady environment, and providing one or two hours of mild light every day is enough. You can choose the soft sunlight period before 9 am or after 4 pm, or use a shading net to reduce the light intensity by 50%-70% to avoid sunburn and yellowing of the leaves. At the same time, avoid placing the green radish in a too dark place to prevent the distance between the leaves from becoming larger and the leaves from becoming smaller.

2. Water at the right time

Many people worry that overwatering will cause the roots or leaves of the plant to rot, but the right amount of water is the key to vigorous growth. Especially in summer, the green radish is still growing and needs sufficient water. Watering should follow the principle of "water thoroughly when dry". If you are unsure whether the soil is dry, you can use a bamboo stick to test the soil moisture or weigh the pot. The green radish will not enter a dormant state in summer, so do not reduce watering, otherwise the leaves will wilt and the bottom leaves will turn yellow.

3. Apply fertilizer appropriately

Fertilizer is also indispensable during the growth period of green radish in summer. Since the green ivy is mainly a foliage plant, when choosing fertilizer, you should mainly choose fertilizers with high nitrogen content and balanced other elements, such as the common Huaduoduo No. 10, or homemade bean cake or peanut cake fertilizer water. Applying it once or twice a month can make the green radish grow luxuriantly, the leaves become larger and the brightness increases.

In fact, the green ivy does not hibernate in summer. It still needs an appropriate amount of water and nutrients to maintain healthy growth. The key to caring for green radish in summer is moderate watering and reasonable fertilization.
