What to do if the leaves of First Love have spots

First love black spots

Black spots on the leaves of First Love are usually caused by black spot disease. The black spots are approximately circular and slightly raised, and the plants have no other symptoms in the early stages. But slowly the leaves will wither or melt and fall off with the slightest touch. Gradually all the leaves will be covered with black spots, and then the whole plant will die.

The process from the development of black spots to the withering of the entire plant is slow for First Love, and it will infect other plants before it dies, so timely prevention and control is necessary.

The reason why first love has dark spots

If you do not pay attention to maintenance during normal times, water the plant directly on the leaves or the center of the leaves, causing water to accumulate for a long time.

The environment is hot and stuffy, especially in the summer, which breeds various bacteria.

Once black spots appear on your first love, it is difficult to deal with them, and there is only a 50% chance of recovery. Therefore, you must always pay attention to them during the maintenance process. Please do not discard the sick succulents around you at will and try your best to revive them.

What to do if your first love has black spots

The weakness of black spot disease is that it is afraid of high temperature and dryness. Place the affected plants directly in the sun, keep the environment relatively dry, and expose them to the sun for a period of time. Spray fungicides in time until the condition improves.

Also pay attention to the following during maintenance: Do not use unsterilized soil, ensure ventilation of the planting environment, avoid getting exposed to rain during the rainy season (this is very important), and avoid long-term moisture in the potting soil.
