What to do if rosemary has bugs

aphid

Rosemary rarely has insect pests, and they are most likely transferred from other plants. Generally, when maintained at home, the environment is relatively clean and free of self-generated bacteria, and the insects that grow on rosemary are mostly aphids. Aphids initially suck sap from leaves, and gradually they form swarms to harm plants.

Prevention and treatment methods

If there are fewer insects, they can be caught manually, but this method is still quite time-consuming. Or you can directly use clean water or soapy water to remove the bugs. It is simple, convenient and effective.

The worst way is to spray pesticides. You can buy professional pesticides and spray the nearby plants as well to prevent aphids from moving.

Preparing insecticides

Chili water and garlic water: It means mashing chili peppers or garlic, adding some water, and spraying it on plants and insects because they are afraid of those two smells. If you have time or are more particular, use 50 grams of fresh chili pepper or dried red chili pepper, add 300-500 grams of water, boil for about half an hour, and use the filtrate to spray the affected plants for special effects.

Cigarette water: Soak cigarettes in water and spray it on plants and insects; this is because cigarettes contain nicotine.

Soapy water: It is the crystal soap or soap thread used for washing clothes at home. Add a little water and spray it on plants and insects. Or add 3-4 grams of powder to 100 grams of water, stir to form a solution, and spray 2-3 times continuously, the prevention and control effect will reach 100%.
