What to do if the leaves of golden diamond turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of golden diamond turn yellow

1. Remove the pot and place it in a cool place or water it thoroughly

(1) Specific reasons: Unscientific watering methods can be divided into two situations. One is too much watering, the new leaves will turn dark yellow, and the old leaves will not have obvious changes. This is called water yellowing. The other is lack of water, the edges of the leaves become dry and yellow, and most of the leaves are old. This type is called drought yellowing.

(2) Solution: For the first case, the plant needs to be removed from the pot and placed in a ventilated, cool place to dry for a period of time. After the soil is dried, it can be placed back in the pot. For another situation, you need to water the plant, and water it sufficiently and thoroughly.

2. Place it in a place with good light

(1) Specific reasons: If the golden diamond is placed in a dark place for a long time and does not receive enough sunlight, chlorophyll cannot be formed, which will easily cause the leaves to turn yellow and fall off.

(2) Solution: Move the plant to a place with sufficient light so that it can fully carry out photosynthesis.

3. Stop fertilizing or apply thin fertilizer frequently

(1) Specific reasons: There are also two situations in this regard. First, the amount of fertilizer is large and the concentration is high, which often manifests as old leaves turning yellow. The second is long-term lack of fertilizer. If there is a lack of nitrogen, the lower part of the leaves will turn yellow first; if there is a lack of phosphorus, the veins will turn yellow first.

(2) Solution: In the first case, fertilization should be stopped and the soil should be flushed with sufficient clean water. In the second case, you need to first determine which element is lacking, and then apply the corresponding fertilizer, paying attention to applying small amounts of fertilizer frequently.
