Sunflower cultivation technology, how to cultivate sunflower seedlings

1. Soil requirements

It is tolerant to poor soil quality and does not have high requirements on soil. However, it is still recommended to use loose, fertile and well-permeable soil for cultivation, so that it will grow better in the later stage. Potted plants can be managed by mixing river sand, garden soil and peat soil. For ground planting, first deep plow the soil, then sprinkle a small amount of fertilizer.

2. Seed and seedling selection

If you are sowing, choose seeds with full grains so that the germination rate will be higher later. If planting seedlings, buy strong ones that are free of pests and diseases. It is best to have a complete root system, so that the seedlings can resume growth faster after planting and are easier to manage.

3. Planting in the soil

If you are sowing, just prepare the soil and sprinkle the seeds directly on it. Try to spread the seeds evenly. After sowing, water it to keep it moist, and control the temperature to keep it moist. In this way, it will sprout and grow into seedlings in about 10 days. If you are planting seedlings, let its roots stretch out, fill the soil and compact it lightly, then water it thoroughly. Don't rush to expose it to strong sunlight. Keep it ventilated first and then manage it normally after it resumes growth.

4. Post-management

During the growth stage of the seedlings, the amount of water is not much. It is drought-resistant by itself, so be careful not to water it frequently to avoid water accumulation. There needs to be more ventilation and more sunlight so that the seedlings can grow vigorously in such an environment. In addition, be careful not to apply fertilizer during the seedling stage to avoid root burn.
