Repotting the Fragrant Vine

Repotting the Fragrant Vine

1. Time Selection

There are not many restrictions on the time for repotting. It can be chosen in spring, summer and autumn, but it is best to choose March to May in spring. The temperature is very suitable at this time. The relative temperature can be maintained at around 20 degrees Celsius, which is better for the plant's later recovery.

2. Prepare the soil

Before repotting the fragrant vine, you must choose a suitable flowerpot. It doesn't need to be too big, about 20-30 cm in diameter, and the material must be transparent. Choose the soil according to its needs. It can be mixed with leaf mold, garden soil, and river sand. It requires good drainage and is breathable, fertile, and loose. Take disinfection measures before use.

3. Remove the pot and prune the roots

If the flowerpot originally has a hook, take it off first, then loosen the surrounding soil, tilt the flowerpot, and carefully take out the plant without damaging the main roots. After taking it out, you need to trim the roots properly, remove old and rotten roots, and then clean and disinfect them.

4. Planting in pots

Fill some soil into the flowerpot, then plant the fragrant vine in the pot, cover the roots with soil, press lightly, and water appropriately. After potting it, place it in a cool and well-ventilated place. Once its growth is stable, you can maintain it normally.
