How to propagate the silkworm

How to propagate the silkworm

1. Cutting

1. Beheading: This method is most convenient for long branches. Cut off the top, including a little rhizome, and place it aside to dry slightly. When the wound stops dripping, you can start cuttings. You can first place it above water to promote rooting, and then bury it in the soil after the roots grow out. In addition to using water to promote rooting, you can also bury it in wet sand and wait until the roots grow out before planting it normally.

2. Leaf cuttings: Cut full and thick leaves and place them aside to dry. Prepare a breathable substrate and place the leaves on it, with the bottom slightly buried in the soil.

2. Division

Cut a small side bud from the plant, wash it first, place it in a cool place to dry slightly, bury it in the soil after drying. The soil used needs to be breathable, well-drained, and have certain nutrients. Then place it in a cool and well-ventilated place, give it a certain amount of light, it will grow after a period of time, and then it can be cultivated normally.

3. Sowing

Prepare the seeds first, make sure they are full, have a certain vitality, and are not affected by diseases. Prepare suitable soil. You can mix peat soil with perlite and cinder to ensure good drainage. Sow the seeds in a pot, place it in a bright location, and wait for the seeds to germinate.
