Forget-me-not breeding methods and precautions

Forget-me-not breeding methods and precautions

1. Soil

It is recommended to use nutritious, air-permeable alkaline sandy soil for the loam in the flowerpot. Before planting, you can mix compound fertilizer into the soil to ensure that the loam has sufficient nutrients.

2. Lighting

It likes to grow in an environment with plenty of sunlight, but an environment that is too hot or too humid will affect the growth of the plant, so proper shading is still required in the summer.

3. Temperature

The most favorable temperature for its growth is 22℃-28℃. When the temperature is higher than 30℃ or below 5℃, it is not conducive to its growth. Therefore, when maintaining it, you can first treat it with low temperature to allow it to slowly adapt to the low temperature environment, and then control it to a suitable growth temperature.

4. Watering

If you think that it likes a dry growing environment because it looks like an artificial flower, you are wrong. It likes water very much, but is afraid of waterlogging. When caring for it, you must ensure that the soil in the pot is moist, but there should be no water accumulation at the roots. When there is sufficient sunlight, you can water it more appropriately to increase the air humidity. When it is not the growing season, the soil in the pot can be relatively dry.

5. Fertilization

When planting it, you need to apply base fertilizer. When the forget-me-not has 6-8 leaves, you can give it a urea solution.

6. Notes

When planted in loam, the temperature needs to be controlled below 15℃ in the first two months. This will allow the plant to pass the spring flower stage, which is conducive to the normal flowering of forget-me-not.
