The best time for camellia cuttings is in spring and autumn every year. The temperature in these two seasons is suitable and the survival rate of camellia cuttings is very high. If camellia cuttings are taken in summer, you must find ways to ventilate and cool down. If camellia cuttings are taken in winter, you must find ways to increase the temperature and keep the plants moisturized.

1. Choose branches : Select healthy camellia plants, cut 16-20cm long branches from the plants, and make sure that the branches have 2-3 buds. Cut a bevel at the bottom of the branch and cut the top of the branch flat. Then soak the trimmed camellia branches in a diluted carbendazim solution. After soaking for ten minutes, take them out and let them dry slightly.

2. Prepare the soil : prepare loose and breathable nutrient soil. If there is no nutrient soil, red soil or coarse sand can be used.

3. Prepare for cuttings : After moistening the soil, insert the previously processed camellia branches into the soil, and finally place them in a dimly lit and ventilated place.
