How to divide lucky bamboo

How to divide lucky bamboo

1. Cut the buds

The method of division is often used on well-grown plants. First, prepare a pair of sterilized scissors, and then cut the small buds growing from the base of the plant's stem. The old plant can be put back in the original vase, and you only need to take out the newly cut branches and buds.

2. Soak in rooting powder

After the branches and buds are cut, they need to be soaked in rooting powder for 6 hours. Because its survival rate of division reproduction is very low, if it is soaked in rooting powder, its rooting rate can be improved. In addition, when using rooting powder, it needs to be diluted 10 times with water before the branches and buds can be soaked in it.

3. Good water quality or soil

After soaking the rooting powder, you can plant the divided plants. Because there are two methods of planting: hydroponics and soil cultivation, you need to prepare vases and soil in advance. If you are growing the plants in soil, the soil you prepare needs to have good drainage, and sandy soil is best; if you are growing the plants in water, the water you prepare must not contain any impurities, and purified water or mineral water is best.

4. Planting

Once the water and soil are ready, you can start planting it. If it is hydroponically grown, you need to put the divided branches in a bottle and then place it in a cool place for maintenance; if it is soil grown, you need to bury the rooting part in the soil, with 2 nodes being the best position, and then pour a little water on it to keep the soil moist at all times, and it will take root after about a month.
