How to propagate the fortune tree and what method is more commonly used

1. Cutting propagation

1. Cutting branches: Money tree cuttings are very common and the operation is simple, but the survival rate is difficult to guarantee and may fail. First, choose a fortune tree plant that is in good growth condition, and cut branches from it for later cuttings. Choose semi-lignified branches of the current year that are about 10 cm long, keep the cut flat, and remove the leaves at the lower end.

2. Cutting medium: In addition to preparing branches, you also need to prepare suitable media. You can choose materials such as vermiculite and perlite.

3. Cutting management: After all these are prepared, you can start cutting. Poke holes in the prepared medium, insert the branches, compact the soil and water it to keep it moist, then manage it properly and wait for the branches to take root.

2. Seed propagation

1. Prepare seeds: Sowing is also a very common method of reproduction. You can pick and sow the seeds after they are mature.

2. Soaking to germinate: Prepare warm water before sowing, soak the seeds in warm water for about 24 hours, then take out and place in a warm place.

3. Prepare the soil: The soil for sowing and seedling raising is also very important. Choose loose, fertile sandy soil and be prepared to disinfect and sterilize it.

4. Sowing: Prepare suitable soil, spread the seeds evenly, cover with soil and wait for germination.
