Cultivation methods and precautions of ginseng banyan bonsai

Ginseng ficus bonsai is easy to grow. Do not expose the newly bought ginseng ficus to too much sunlight. You can first keep it in a ventilated and shaded place, and give it appropriate light in the morning or evening. After it adapts to the maintenance environment, you can slowly increase the light. However, their shade tolerance is also good, so it is completely fine to keep it in a shaded place indoors.

Cultivation method of ginseng banyan bonsai

When cultivating ginseng fig, it is suitable to repot it about once every two years, and the time for repotting is spring every year. It prefers loose, humus-rich, fertile, slightly acidic soil, and is afraid of saline-alkali soil. Ginseng fig likes warm sunshine. If there is insufficient sunlight, it will easily grow slowly, the roots will become thinner, and it will also cause the leaves of ginseng fig to turn yellow and fall off.

1. Soil

Ficus ginseng has a strong root system and is not very demanding on the soil. You can mix sand and coal slag evenly as potting soil, or you can mix river sand and humus soil as potting soil, and then add decomposed organic fertilizer as base fertilizer.

2. Lighting

Ginseng Ficus likes light and tolerates partial shade. It is necessary to ensure sufficient light during the growth period. It is recommended to expose it to more than 4 hours of light every day. The weather is hot in summer and the leaves evaporate a lot. Be careful to avoid direct sunlight and provide appropriate shading.

3. Watering

It is best to water the ginseng fig once a day during the growing season to keep the soil moist. Note that it is necessary to water it when the soil is slightly dry. Do not wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. Watering should be controlled in autumn and winter. If water accumulates in the pot, it should be dumped or drained in time to avoid root rot.

Matters Needing Attention in Ginseng Banyan Bonsai Care

When caring for the ginseng banyan bonsai, you should pay attention to the following: although it likes a humid environment and is afraid of waterlogging, if waterlogging occurs for a long time, root rot is likely to occur. If watering is too little, yellowing leaves and falling leaves are likely to occur, so you need to be careful when watering.
