Cultivation methods and precautions of ball pine

Cultivation methods and precautions of ball pine

The ball pine is a common plant that is easy to grow and is best suited for indoor cultivation. The plant is evergreen all year round. It not only has high ornamental value, but can also purify the air and absorb electrical radiation. It has many uses.

How to cultivate ball pine

1. Pot soil

The soil for planting pine cones needs to be fertile, loose and breathable. If you prepare the nutrient soil yourself, you can use peat soil, granular soil, garden soil, sandy soil, vermiculite, etc.

2. Lighting

The area where the ball pine is planted must have sufficient light supply, which is conducive to the healthy growth of the ball pine. If there is insufficient light, the plant will be loose and its ornamental value will be reduced.

3. Temperature

During the cultivation period of Pinus glomerata, it is best to control the temperature at around 15-25℃, which is most conducive to the growth of the plant. It should be moved indoors in winter and the temperature should not be lower than 10 degrees Celsius.

4. Watering

When watering the ball pine, you can follow the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when the soil is wet. You need to judge based on the condition of the plant. If the leaves are wilted, the plant needs to be watered in time.

5. Pruning

The pine tree is a very fast-growing plant. If it sprouts a lot of side branches, it needs to be pruned in time. Cut off all the rotten, overcrowded, and messy branches and leaves to save nutrients.

Matters Needing Attention in Pine Maintenance

Plants like Pinus glomerata need to be repotted every year, and it is recommended to do so in autumn. It is best to replace the potting soil with new nutrient soil, and pay attention to proper root pruning, which can promote the plant to sprout more new roots.
