How to judge whether the spider plant needs watering? How to judge whether it is lack of water or too much water

The method of planting spider plants must be correct, especially the watering method. Spider plants are a kind of flowers that like water. If you want to grow them better, you must do a good job of watering.

In spring and autumn, it is best to water every 2 to 3 days, in summer it needs to be watered every day, and in winter it needs to be watered every 10-15 days. Watering is related to the season and the size of the flower, and can be judged by the dryness and wetness of the soil.

Determine the watering time of Chlorophytum

1. Soil conditions

If you find that the surface of the soil is dry and white and not moist at all, you can insert a small wooden stick into the soil, then pull out the stick and have a look. If the stick is dry, it proves that the soil is dry and you can water it.

2. Leaf status

In addition to judging whether to water it by looking at the soil, you can also judge by the leaves of the spider plant. If the spider plant wilts, the leaves become dry and soft, and other maintenance measures are normal, it means that the spider plant is short of water and should be watered in time.

In winter, the watering interval can be longer, watering every 10 to 15 days is enough. If it is in summer, the weather will become dry and the evaporation of water from the spider plant will increase. You need to use a spray bottle to spray the leaves and roots of the spider plant every day, and water it every other day.

Chlorophytum watering method

In spring, the plant is in a period of vigorous growth and the climate is mild, so watering can be done every two or three days. In summer, the temperature is high and evaporation is vigorous, so watering can be done every one or two days. In autumn, the temperature gradually drops, and the frequency of watering also decreases, so watering can be done every three to five days.

However, the temperature is relatively low in winter, so you can water the spider plant every seven to ten days. Each time you water the spider plant, you need to water it thoroughly until water flows out of the holes at the bottom of the pot. No water should accumulate in the soil.
