How to plant chestnut seeds1. Site selection and land preparation: Be sure to choose a place with fertile soil, with a pH of 6. Apply enough base fertilizer in advance and till the soil deeply to kill the bacteria. Dig the ditch in advance, make a 50cm wide and 15cm high ridge, and leave space for walking. 2. Seed collection and storage: The seeds need to be plump and mature chestnuts, which need to be soaked in a reagent for 15 minutes to sterilize the seeds, and the temperature and humidity must be controlled to prevent the seeds from getting moldy. 3. Sowing: When 50% of the seeds have sprouted, they can be sown. The belly of the seeds should face downwards, with 7 cm spacing between each row. Then fill in 2 cm of fine soil on top and finally cover with a layer of grass to keep the soil warm and moist and avoid soil compaction. |
