Introduction to the growth of lettuce

Lettuce is native to the Mediterranean coast. It is a vegetable variety that is cultivated in both the north and south of my country.

The growth cycle of cabbage

Layleaf prefers a warm, sunny environment, is not shade-tolerant, and is not very demanding on the soil. Loose and fertile soil is preferred, and the soil must be kept moist during planting.

The growth cycle of water spinach is very short and it can be harvested after two months.

Growth rate of lettuce

After planting lettuce, the soil needs to be kept slightly moist. The plant grows very fast and can be harvested when it grows to about 45 cm.

Management of the growth cycle of lettuce

Lettuce can be harvested at any time, but if it is harvested too early, the yield will be low, and if it is harvested too late, the quality will be affected. Generally, the yield is 2,500 kilograms per mu.

Temperature management: Lettuce is sensitive to temperature. The suitable temperature for seeds during the germination period is 15 to 20 degrees. The germination rate drops significantly when it is above 25 degrees. The suitable temperature for growth in the seedling stage is between 16 and 20 degrees. The room temperature for later growth is between 20 and 29 degrees. It can bloom normally when the temperature is between 10 and 15 degrees.

Fertilization management: During the growth process of lettuce, some nitrogen fertilizer, urea and ammonium sulfate can be applied. In addition, the soil can be loosened and weeds can be removed in time to promote the absorption of nutrients.
