How to grow green radish so that it thrives?

Pothos is a common and easy-to-care-for foliage plant that is popular for its strong ability to adapt to the environment and its ability to beautify the home environment. However, some flower lovers find it difficult to make their green ivy grow luxuriantly, and no new branches and leaves grow for a long time. So how can we grow green radish so that it grows vigorously?

1. Use more humus soil

The soil requirements of the green radish are not high, but its growth will be restricted in poor soil. Especially those soils with poor permeability, high viscosity and lack of nutrients will cause the leaves of the green radish to turn yellow, grow weakly, and make it difficult to grow new branches and leaves. This is because the soil has poor permeability and insufficient nutrients, which is not conducive to root absorption and growth, making the plants weak.

Pothos prefers loose, breathable, slightly acidic soil rich in humus. In such soil, the root system grows vigorously and has strong absorption capacity, thus promoting the continuous sprouting of new branches and leaves of the plant. Therefore, when planting or repotting the green radish, you should use more nutrient-rich humus soil, or directly choose prepared nutrient soil. As long as the soil in the pot is loose, breathable and rich in nutrients, the green radish can grow vigorously even if less fertilizer is applied in the later stage.

2. Supplement more nutrients

Some flower lovers often neglect fertilizing when caring for green ivy, thinking that it does not need to bloom and it does not matter whether to fertilize it or not. However, any plant needs nutrients to grow. Insufficient nutrients will cause the plant to be weak and difficult to grow new branches and leaves.

When fertilizing green radish, you should follow the principle of "applying small amounts of fertilizer frequently". Because its root system is relatively tender, applying too much or too concentrated fertilizer at one time can easily burn the roots, causing yellow leaves or even root rot. During daily maintenance, you can apply a small amount of compound fertilizer , or water with thin fertilizer water 1 to 2 times a month. If you don't have time to manage it on a regular basis, you can apply slow-release fertilizer in the flowerpot. This way, even if you don't apply fertilizer for a few months, it will not affect the normal growth of the green radish.

3. Scattered light is more common

Pothos likes shade and can grow normally even if it is placed in a place without direct sunlight for a long time as long as the light is bright. However, if you want the green radish to grow luxuriantly and have strong branches and leaves, it also needs to receive appropriate weak scattered light.

Plant growth depends on photosynthesis. If they stay in a dark environment for a long time, the plants will become weak and their branches and leaves will be small. Although the green ivy is afraid of strong sunlight, it likes weak scattered light. Occasionally exposing it to weak light can promote growth and make the leaves greener and more shiny.

4. Less watering

Chlorophytum likes a humid environment, but it should not be watered too much or too frequently during maintenance. Many flower lovers water their flowers too much, causing the soil in the pots to remain moist for a long time, which leads to root rot and yellow leaves of the green radish. Chlorophytum does not require too much water to grow, especially when it is grown indoors. The environment is closed, the light is insufficient, and the water evaporates slowly. After watering once, the soil in the pot will not dry out for several days. Generally speaking, there is no need to worry about lack of water. Just wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry and then water it thoroughly again. There is no need to water frequently when the soil is not dry to prevent water accumulation and waterlogging.

In short, green radish likes a warm environment, and its most suitable growth temperature range is 18-28℃. Within this temperature range, the growth rate of the green radish will be faster and the leaves will be healthier.
