How to propagate lucky bamboo by division

How to propagate lucky bamboo by division

1. Division time

After a period of maintenance of the potted lucky bamboo, buds will appear at the bottom. When the buds grow to a certain extent, they can be expanded by dividing them.

2. Division method

When propagating by division, you can combine it with repotting. When repotting, take the original plant of lucky bamboo out of the pot and remove the dust and old soil around the soil ball.

Depending on the number of lucky bamboos planted in the pots, divide them into two or three pots, hold their stems and shake them gently to separate the roots that are mixed together naturally. Some roots that have died or been damaged should be pruned off, and then replanted. After planting, place them in a cool and ventilated place for two or three days, gradually expose them to light, and resume normal maintenance and management.
