Plant these 7 kinds of vegetables on a fully enclosed balcony, harvest them every 20 days, and the vegetables you can’t finish will bloom!

If you want to grow vegetables, you need to prepare the potting soil.

If we want to grow vegetables at home, the first thing we need to prepare is flower pots, soil and seeds.

Bring all the buckets and bags from home and drive to dig the soil. Those who have elevators are lucky, while those who don’t have elevators can only climb the stairs to carry the soil up.

Prepare various vegetable pots and hanging flower pots and fill them with soil. If there are not enough flower pots, cut up a few old oil drums to make vegetable pots.

The seeds are prepared, everything is ready, let's start.

Plant these vegetables and they grow super fast

1. Chinese cabbage

A must-have for growing vegetables on the balcony is definitely Chinese cabbage! Sowing is also easy. We first water the soil thoroughly, then sprinkle the seeds evenly on the soil and cover it with a thin layer of soil.

After covering the soil, lightly compact the soil. Because it has been thoroughly watered before sowing, we only need to spray a small amount of water mist after sowing.

2. Lettuce

You should also plant some lettuce. Water the flowerpot thoroughly, sprinkle the seeds directly into the pot, cover with a thin layer of soil, and compact it lightly. It will grow in a few days.

Don’t waste the small hanging flower pots. Throw a few lettuce seeds in when planting vegetables, and plant some purple lettuce. It is said that it has higher nutritional value!

3. Leek

Scatter the chive seeds randomly in the vegetable pot. They may grow slowly at first, but once they grow, they will soon fill the pot.

The most important thing is that growing chives is very cost-effective, and you can harvest a crop every 20 days, so you can eat as much vegetables as you want!

4. Coriander

If there are not enough flower pots, buy some foam boxes left over from fruit harvests, remove the lids, fill them with soil directly, and sprinkle some seeds at random. The seedlings will germinate very quickly.

Here Huahua wants to remind everyone that the coriander seeds we bought should be crushed into two halves before sowing. Huahua uses a beer bottle to crush the seeds!

5. Spinach

In fact, this kind of leafy vegetables is very easy to grow. Their seeds are not big. You can just sow them directly in the flowerpots, cover them with soil and press them lightly.

6. Scallions

Anyone who has grown vegetables knows that green onions do not grow quickly after sowing, and they have to be transplanted when they grow up. You don’t know when you will be able to eat the green onions you grew.

Therefore, we can directly plant the scallion whites, and they will grow in half a month. We can also cut off the scallion leaves and eat them, and keep the scallion whites in the soil to allow them to continue growing.

7. Kale

It is also a good idea to plant some kale. If you want it to germinate faster, we can accelerate the germination. If you have a yogurt maker at home, you can wrap the seeds with gauze, soak them in water, and put them in a constant temperature yogurt maker. They will germinate in 1 night!

When the seeds germinate, we sow them in seedling boxes, and then transplant them into large pots when they grow up.

The place is not big enough, add a vegetable rack

The balcony is so small and there isn’t enough space, so I bought some hanging flower pots.

There were not enough flower pots, so I cut up all the oil drums and placed them next to each other on the shelves to save space.

The vegetables we planted grew so fast that the family couldn’t finish them all, and many of them sprouted and bloomed.

<<:  I went back to the countryside and picked up a pig trough. My whole family opposed it, but it became beautiful after I planted flowers in it!

>>:  Uncle Li turned his balcony into a "small garden". I'm so envious. I want to make one when I get home!
