Difference between Cilantro and Centella asiatica

1. Leaf Difference

The leaves of cilantro are membranous or herbaceous, round or kidney-shaped, 0.5 to 1.5 cm long and 0.8 to 2.5 cm wide. The base of the leaves is heart-shaped. The leaves are undivided or have 5 to 7 lobes. The lobes are broadly obovate with blunt teeth on the edges. The leaf surface is smooth and the petiole is 0.7 to 9 cm long.

The leaves of Centella asiatica are membranous to herbaceous, round, kidney-shaped or horseshoe-shaped, about 1 to 2.8 cm long and about 1.5 to 5 cm wide, with blunt serrations on the edges and a broad heart-shaped base.

2. Flower Differences

The umbel inflorescence of Coriander is solitary at the nodes, with slender peduncles, 0.5 to 3.5 cm long. There are 5 to 18 small flowers in each inflorescence. The flowers are sessile or short-stalked, and the petals are ovate, about 1.2 mm long, and green-white.

The umbels of Centella asiatica are 2 to 4 long, clustered in the leaf axils, about 0.2 to 1.5 cm long. There are 3 to 4 small flowers in each umbel. The flowers are sessile, and the petals are ovate, purple-red or milky white, membranous, 1.2 to 1.5 mm long and 1.1 to 1.2 mm wide.
