The difference between annual fleabane and fleabane

The difference between annual fleabane and fleabane

Different species

This is the most fundamental difference, and it is this difference that determines all their differences. The first plant belongs to the Erigeron annuals species, while the second plant belongs to the Erigeron smalls species. Moreover, the first type of plants are annual or biennial, while the second type are mostly annual.

Different appearance

Although the difference is not easy to see, if you look carefully, you can still find subtle differences. The first is the length of their stems. The stem length of annual hollyhock is generally 40-80cm, with a diameter of two to four millimeters, while the stem length of the latter is 50-100cm, which is generally taller. There is also the difference in their flowers. First of all, there is a slight difference in color. The first type may be white or light blue, while the flowers of the second type are almost all white. Also, the bisexual flowers in the center of the first type are tubular, while those of the second type are cylindrical. Of course, these differences are not very obvious and require us to observe carefully.

The flowering and fruiting periods are different

There are slight differences during this period, but not much. The former blooms from June to August and bears fruit from August to October. The latter blooms from June to September, the fruits begin to ripen in July, and the peak breeding period is in October.

Different hazards

Their hazards are quite serious. However, they are hosts to different pests.
