What is the difference between Chiyoda no Matsu and Blue Lotus?

Both Blue Lotus and Chiyoda Matsu have radial plant shapes and white ridges, but the leaves of Blue Lotus are more slender, with sharper tips and flatter leaves. The upper part of the leaf surface is flat, and the back of the leaf is triangularly raised, while the leaves of Blue Lotus are fatter and rounder, and there is no obvious distinction between the leaf surface and the leaf perianth.

Chiyoda Pine Form

The leaves of Chiyoda pine are spindle-shaped, fat in the middle and pointed at both ends. The leaves are closely arranged in a radial pattern, which is somewhat similar to the Thousand Buddha Hands of Sedum, but the leaves of Chiyoda pine are more attractive, with fatter and shorter leaves, and at the same time, they are angular. The leaf surface will show some irregular white edges, giving a sense of splicing and three-dimensional effect.

The color of the leaves of Chiyoda pine is also more varied. It is generally green, but can appear yellow when it is young, and the tips of the leaves can turn red.

Blue Lotus Form

Blue daisy belongs to the Crassulaceae family and is a hybrid species, which is a hybrid of Echeveria spec. of the genus Echeveria and Sedum of the genus Pachyphyllum.

The leaves of the blue lotus are in a rosette shape. The leaves of the plant are densely arranged in a ring, basal, flat fusiform or ovate, curved inward, with leaf tips, rounded leaf margins, and ridges on the back of the leaves. The leaves are smooth, covered with trace amounts of white powder, and are grass green to dark green. When there is sufficient sunlight, the leaves are closely arranged, and the edges and tips will turn yellow-red.
