Mulberry tree growth cycle

Mulberry trees like to grow in a warm and humid climate. They are drought-resistant, slightly shade-tolerant, and not water-tolerant. They have strong adaptability to soil. If you want them to grow fruit, they need to be cared for for three years.

Mulberry tree growth rate

Mulberry trees grow slowly, and their seeds must be sown immediately after purchase. Within half a month after sowing, they must be watered every morning and evening. When the seedlings are 3 cm tall, they must be thinned out in time, and thinning must continue when the seedlings are 6-9 cm tall.

Mulberry tree growth cycle management

Mulberry tree is a perennial woody plant. From the planting of mulberry seedlings to the aging period of the mulberry tree, it can generally be divided into the young stage, the peak production stage and the aging stage.

Temperature management : After planting, mulberry trees begin to sprout when the temperature is above 12℃. The suitable temperature for growth is between 25-30℃. When the temperature is as high as 40℃, its growth is inhibited, and it stops growing when the temperature drops below 12℃. Different temperatures determine the germination, growth, and dormancy of mulberry trees.

Fertilization management : Mulberry trees need sufficient nutrients during their growth process. Fertilizers should be applied twice in spring. Fertilizers should be applied one week after the mulberry trees are felled in summer. Fertilizers should be applied in autumn mainly around August. Foliar fertilizers should also be applied. Generally, spray once every 5-7 days, and 2-3 times in a row will suffice.
