The branches are mostly triangular, 0.2-0.5 meters long, only 3-8 centimeters wide, with wavy or scalloped edges, dark green or light blue-green in color, and no hair on the surface. Old branches are light brown and have a bony texture.

The petals inside are white with a pointed tip, and the filaments are yellow-white. It usually blooms from July to December.

Fruit: The fruit of the pitaya tree is naturally the pitaya, an oblong berry with a red skin and triangular fronds on top. The flesh inside is white, and there are also many black seeds. The fruit is 7-12 cm long and 5-10 cm in diameter. The seeds are very small, more than 2 mm long and only about 1 mm wide.

2. How to raise

When growing dragon fruit trees, it is generally necessary to use sandy loam rich in humus. Good drainage can prevent water accumulation at the roots and is more conducive to breathing. Although the plant is relatively drought-resistant, it still needs sufficient water during the growing period to facilitate its growth. At the same time, it also needs appropriate fertilizer to supplement its nutrients. In winter, you need to take good warming measures and can withstand temperatures of 4-8℃.
