Aphids are also called dense insects and sticky insects. They are the most troublesome insect pests for growing vegetables and flowers. They reproduce quickly and are highly destructive. They begin to reproduce rapidly when the temperature is above 12 degrees.

Red Spider

Red spider mites are also called spider mites. They can reproduce a generation every week. The closer you plant roses on the balcony, the more likely they are to breed red spider mites!

How to eradicate aphids and red spiders?

I believe that many flower lovers have tried to buy pesticides to kill insects, but the results were not ideal. In fact, we have plenty of "insecticides" at home that can be used. You can DIY them quickly without asking for help!

1. Rub it off with bare hands

If you are raising roses at home, be sure to observe them in time. Once you find a bug, rub it off with your bare hands or toilet paper.

If your rose has a lot of thorns, be sure to wear thick gloves.

2. Release seven-spotted ladybugs

The seven-spotted ladybug is the natural enemy of aphids. Catch a few seven-spotted ladybugs in the suburbs or botanical gardens and place them on the roses. They will start eating automatically without leaving a single aphid!

The seven-spotted ladybug loves to eat aphids and is insensitive to roses, so not only can it eat all the insects, it also does no harm to our flowers!

3. Spray with a kettle

Use a high-pressure water kettle to spray the aphids, spray the insects away, spray them away! It's so satisfying.

4. Pepper water

Chop the dried chili shells slightly and soak them in water overnight. The next morning, water the roses with some clean water to let them drink enough, then spray the insects with chili water that has been filtered out of the chili shells.

Pepper water can irritate and kill aphids and spider mites. It is also irritating to roses, so you should let the roses drink enough water before using it. Be careful to spray it on the insects, not on the potting soil.

5. Washing powder water

200ml water + 15ml washing powder + 3ml cooking oil, stir well, pour into a small spray bottle, insecticide is great~

Before spraying, you should first water the rose to prevent it from drinking the detergent water. The oil is added to attach the agent to the leaves and suffocate the insects.

6. Soapy water

Soap: water = 1:300, mix according to this ratio, use a small toothbrush or cotton pad dipped in soapy water to wipe the rose insect leaves

Soapy water is highly alkaline and can also disinfect and sterilize, and can accurately kill small insects!

7. Tobacco water

Take out the tobacco from a cigarette, soak it in 200ml of water, soak it overnight, and then wipe the leaves with insects.

Aphids and spider mites cannot stand the smell of tobacco leaves and will be killed in a short time.

8. Garlic water

Peel a head of garlic, smash it with a knife, then add 300ml of water and soak it for 1-2 days. The super stimulating insecticide is ready.

Pour the fermented garlic water into a small spray bottle and spray it at the insects. It is extremely powerful!

9. Detergent water

Detergent: water = 1:500, stir well and let stand until the foam disappears before use

You can put it in a spray bottle to spray the insects, or you can use a wet wipe to wipe the leaves. Try not to sprinkle it in the flower pot to avoid damaging the rose.

10. Mosquito-repellent incense

Hang a mosquito coil near the rose bush to kill larger aphids and spider mites.

If smaller rose plants have insects, you can light mosquito coils and cover them with a large cardboard box. This will increase the concentration of the mosquito coils and achieve better insecticidal effects, but be careful about fire prevention!
