Water yellow

Watering too frequently and too much can cause yellowing of leaves, which is mainly manifested in the new leaves turning yellow and dull, but there is no obvious change in the old leaves.

Solution

Stop watering immediately, control the water content, and in serious cases, repot and replace the soil directly.

Phellodendron chinense

Drought yellowing means lack of water, which is manifested by the old leaves turning yellow gradually from the bottom to the top, and the new leaves growing slowly. If the water shortage lasts for a long time, the whole plant will turn yellow or even die.

Solution

Water in time. If you haven't watered the plant for a long time, don't water it too much the first time, but do it gradually. Or water by immersion irrigation.

Fat Yellow

Fertilizer yellowing means fertilizer damage, which is caused by applying fertilizer too frequently or at too high a concentration. The main manifestation is that the newly grown leaves are relatively thick and shiny, but the leaf surface is uneven.

Solution

Water in time to dilute the fertility in the soil. Or turn the soil and control fertilizer.

Hungry Yellow

Nepenthes does not require too many nutrients to grow, but it does not mean that it will grow well without fertilizer. The leaves will turn yellow if no fertilizer is applied for a long time. If fertilizer is not applied for a long time, the new stems and leaves will turn yellow. If fertilizer is not added in time, the plant will die.

Solution

Avoid applying a large amount of fertilizer at one time. Instead, apply fertilizer in small amounts multiple times.

Iron deficiency yellow leaves

Just like humans, pitcher plants need iron to grow, and if they lack iron, yellow leaves will appear. The leaves will appear distinctly yellow.

Solution

Spray ferrous sulfate aqueous solution 3 to 4 times and the condition will gradually improve.
