Cultivation methods and precautions of Featherleaf Phlox

Cultivation methods and precautions of Featherleaf Phlox

Phlox affine is an ornamental shrub that is relatively easy to grow. The plant grows very slowly as long as it is given suitable temperature and light.

Cultivation method of Phlox fasciata

1. Soil

It is best to plant the feather-leaved philadelphus in loose, fertile, and well-breathable soil. It can be prepared with garden soil, leaf mold, organic fertilizer, river sand, etc., which can meet its nutrient needs for growth.

2. Watering

Featherleaf Phlox likes moisture and needs more watering during the growing season and summer, but be careful not to let water accumulate in the soil. When watering, just follow the principle of "watering thoroughly when the soil is dry."

3. Fertilization

Featherleaf philadelphus is relatively fond of fertilizer. During the vigorous growth period of the plant, it is recommended to apply a thin cake fertilizer once a month, so that nutrients can be effectively supplemented.

4. Temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for the plant Phlox pinnatifida is 20-25℃. The plant's cold resistance is relatively poor, and it is best to maintain a maintenance temperature above 12℃ during maintenance.

5. Lighting

Featherleaf philadelphus likes to bask in the sun. Insufficient light will make the plant too short. It is recommended that the daily light time should not be less than five hours, and it should be properly shielded from strong light in summer.

Precautions for the maintenance of Phlox fasciata

During the maintenance period, the feather-leaved philadelphus must be placed in a well-ventilated environment. If the environment is poorly ventilated and the light is not good, the plant is easily damaged by scale insects. At this time, it is necessary to use the wettable powder of cypermethrin in time for treatment.
