Golden Orchid Breeding Methods and Precautions

Golden orchid is still very easy to keep alive. It will grow well as long as it is provided with suitable soil and an environment with sufficient light. The soil must be loose, breathable, and well-drained. It should be kept in a well-lit location with appropriate light to promote normal photosynthesis. It can also provide the golden orchid with sufficient nutrients to promote its vigorous growth.

How to cultivate golden orchid

Golden orchid is a common decorative plant in living rooms and study rooms. When cultivating it, it is suitable to use potting soil with good air permeability. When watering, use slightly acidic water at room temperature. It is not suitable to place it in the sun to receive strong light. It can be placed in a bright place to receive scattered light. It cannot be maintained in a place that is too dark. If there is direct strong light, it must be properly blocked.

1. Pot soil selection

Golden orchid is suitable for planting in pots with good air permeability. It is not recommended to use plastic pots, but porcelain pots or clay pots. When choosing soil, you should choose acidic soil with certain air permeability and drainage, and contain a certain amount of humus.

2. Sunlight

Golden Orchid is a shade-loving flower, but if it is placed in a completely lightless environment, it cannot grow normally. Therefore, it is very particular about lighting. The position of the flowerpot can be changed according to different seasons. In summer, it needs to be placed in a shaded diffuse light environment. In winter, the light is not strong, so it can be placed in front of a sunny windowsill all day. Reasonable light will make the plant leaves more rich and green.

3. Moisture

Golden orchid likes a humid soil environment, so you must pay attention to whether the soil is moist. Usually in spring and autumn, you can water it once every two days. In addition, when watering the golden orchid, you must choose slightly acidic water, such as rainwater, river water, and tap water. But make sure the water is neat and clean. Before watering, place the water indoors for 1 day to make the water temperature close to the room temperature.

4. Fertilization

Golden orchid needs sufficient nutrients during its growth period, so it needs to be fertilized once every week, mainly with compound fertilizer. If it is spring, a small amount of organic fertilizer can be added, but fertilization should be stopped in winter.

Precautions for the maintenance of golden orchid

When caring for golden orchid, you must also pay attention to controlling the temperature to promote the growth of leaf buds. In addition, diseases and pests may occur due to improper management, so water and fertilizer management must be carried out reasonably. After diseases and pests occur, it is necessary to spray pesticides in time for treatment.
