Purslane tree cultivation methods and precautions

Purslane tree cultivation methods and precautions

Purslane trees are very easy to grow and grow very fast. As long as you provide them with adequate water, fertilizer and light, and prune and shape them regularly, they will grow very beautifully in 3-5 years.

How to grow purslane tree

1. Temperature

For Purslane tree cultivation, the most suitable growth temperature is around 20-25℃, and the winter temperature should not be lower than 10℃. It is relatively drought-resistant, so it can withstand the test of the scorching sun in the hot summer.

2. Lighting

Purslane trees like to bask in the sun, so they must be given enough light when cultivated. In the summer, they must be properly shielded from strong light to avoid sunburning the leaves. They can accept full sunlight in other seasons, but must be moved to a warm place in time on rainy days.

3. Moisture

The purslane tree is drought-resistant and heat-loving, and requires very little water, mainly because its branches and leaves are fleshy and can store a large amount of water and nutrients. In the high temperatures of summer, you cannot water it too much due to the high temperature, otherwise it will cause root rot or damage, which is not conducive to its growth.

Precautions for purslane tree care

When caring for purslane trees, you should pay attention to the fact that since purslane trees grow relatively well, the fertility in the soil will be exhausted after 2-3 years, so you should repot and change the soil at this time. Choose fertile and loose sandy soil, and at the same time cut off diseased branches and rotten, dry, and weak roots.
