What to do if potted lemon drops leaves

What to do if potted lemon drops leaves

Just bought it home

Many times, the green plants we keep at home are brought back from the flower market. Experienced flower lovers know that these potted plants need to go through an adaptation process when they are first brought home, and during this process, a large number of leaves may fall off.

The same thing will happen to potted lemons, but there is no need to worry too much at this time. This is a survival instinct of lemons and it can be recovered. Generally, after the plants adapt to the new environment, the lemons can regain their vitality.

Too much water

When growing lemons in potted plants, sometimes waterlogging will cause the soil to become compacted and its air permeability to decrease, making the soil easily alkaline. When breeding, you can reduce watering appropriately, and water it thoroughly after it is completely dry. You can spray more water. In the north, you can also water it with some ferrous acid solution.

You can change the soil in the pot of potted lemons frequently.

Root rot

Another situation is that in daily maintenance, too much watering or too concentrated fertilizer is applied, which causes the lemon roots to rot. This will cause the lemon to lose a large number of leaves.

You can wipe off the flower buds of the lemon, cut off the rotten roots and replant it. When you continue to grow the plants, pay attention to watering.

Red spider mites

In addition to these maintenance problems, the lemon may also lose leaves due to the infestation of pests such as red spider mites. At this time, it is necessary to spray pesticides in time for treatment and clean up the fallen leaves.
