Chrysanthemum is not only for viewing, but also has many other uses. Drinking a cup of chrysanthemum tea in summer can keep you cool throughout the summer, as it has the effect of clearing away heat and reducing internal heat. Let's talk about the prospects and profits of chrysanthemum planting.

Is chrysanthemum planting profitable?

There are many varieties of chrysanthemums on the market now, which is very different from before. In the past, wild chrysanthemums generally bloomed in smaller sizes, although the smell was similar.

But after research, it is found that chrysanthemums now come in not only yellow colors, but also some other colors, but their effects are similar.

The price of chrysanthemums has been rising continuously since 2013. Currently, it can be sold for around 50 yuan per kilogram, and the price of high-quality ones will be even higher .

At present, the varieties of chrysanthemums grown on the market include golden yellow chrysanthemum, chamomile, snow chrysanthemum, Beijing chrysanthemum, Wuyuan yellow chrysanthemum, etc. In some areas, growers can earn more than 4,000 yuan per mu of fresh chrysanthemums on average, and the income can reach more than 10,000 yuan after deep processing of chrysanthemum tea, so it is still good from the perspective of making money.

How much is the profit per acre of chrysanthemum planting?

As for the profit per mu, taking white chrysanthemum as an example , the cost is about 2,000 yuan/mu : 2,500 chrysanthemum seedlings are needed/mu. The current market price of seedlings ranges from 0.12 to 0.45 yuan/plant. Calculated at 0.2 yuan, the cost of seedlings is about 500 yuan.

During the growing process, the application of organic fertilizer and other fertilizers costs 100 yuan/mu, irrigation water costs 150 yuan/mu, and covering with mulch costs 30 yuan/mu. The labor cost of producing each kilogram of flowers is 0.8-1 yuan, and the land rent is 100-200 yuan/mu.

The income is about 7,000 yuan per mu : the yield per mu is 2,500-2,800 kilograms of fresh flowers. The current purchase price of fresh flowers (chrysanthemums) is 2.8 yuan per kilogram, and the purchase price of golden chrysanthemums (high-end varieties) is 3.2 yuan per kilogram. The highest income can reach nearly 9,000 yuan (golden chrysanthemums).
