Purple bean planting time

Purple beans are best planted between April and May, because according to their habits, the temperature at this time is conducive to their germination and growth. If planted too early, they are prone to slow germination and poor growth.

Purple beans planting methods and key points

1. Purple beans have relatively low requirements for soil. They can be planted in soil with deep soil layer, sufficient fertility and convenient drainage and irrigation. After selecting suitable soil, deep plowing should be carried out first, and some base fertilizer should be applied to the soil to improve the fertility of the soil.

2. Before planting, it is best to expose the seeds of purple beans to the sun for about 1-2 days. This is conducive to germination. Then put the seeds in 30℃ warm water and soak them for 5-6 hours. After the seeds absorb enough water, they can be sown.

3. Plant the purple bean seeds in the soil with a row spacing of 40 cm and a plant spacing of 30 cm, at a depth of about 3-4 cm. Then cover them with a thin layer of soil, water them appropriately, and keep the soil slightly moist so that they can grow.

Things to note when planting purple beans

Purple beans need proper watering after planting, preferably once a day. They like to grow in a warm environment, and the growth temperature should not be lower than 20 degrees, otherwise it will affect their growth. In addition, it has a relatively large demand for nutrients, so you can apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to it once a month to make the purple beans grow more vigorously.
