Henan garlic sprout planting time and key points

1. Planting time

Garlic shoots prefer a warm environment and are not cold-resistant, so they are not suitable for planting in winter or cold areas. They are also not resistant to high temperatures, so they are generally planted in spring and autumn. Of course, with the development of greenhouse technology, many vegetables can be planted off-season, and garlic shoots can be planted all year round.

2. Seed selection

my country has a long history of cultivating garlic sprouts. After a long period of cultivation and breeding, there are many varieties. When planting, we should choose high-quality early-maturing varieties with good growth, wide and soft leaves, high yield and strong disease resistance to increase yield.

3. Soil selection and land preparation

Choose loose, fertile, flat, and well-drained land as the planting site, or it is best to choose land that has been used to grow wheat, corn and other grain crops. Combine it with land preparation, apply some decomposed organic fertilizer, deep plowing and tillage, and harrow to make ridges.

4. Planting seeds

Soak the garlic shoot seeds in clean water for 10-12 hours, sterilize them after soaking and then sow them. Insert the treated garlic cloves into the soil and compact the soil. Sow about 200 kg per mu. Water thoroughly after sowing. If the temperature is low, cover with a layer of plastic film to keep warm and moist.
