Can Tangyin be planted by leaf cuttings?

The most common way to propagate the Tangyin plant is leaf cuttings, which is usually carried out in spring or autumn. The climate in these two periods is relatively warm, with little extreme weather, which is more conducive to rooting after leaf cuttings and a higher survival rate.

Tangyin leaf cutting method and steps

1. Cut the leaves

After disinfecting the scissors, choose a healthy Tangyin plant, cut the healthy leaves from it, place them in the sun to dry, and apply wood ash on the wound to disinfect it.

2. Prepare the soil

Leaf cuttings of Tangyin require suitable soil, which should be loose, breathable and well-drained. You can use leaf mold, fine sand and vermiculite for preparation.

3. Carry out leaf cuttings

When ready, spray water on the soil appropriately, then insert the leaves of Tangyin into it, being careful not to plant too deep.

Maintenance points of Tangyin leaf cuttings

1. After the leaf cuttings of Tangyin are completed, it is best to keep it in a cool, ventilated environment. Do not expose the plant to strong light. During this period, pay attention to the normal circulation of air. In the later period, just spray it with water once every 3-5 days and it will take root soon.

2. After the Tangyin leaf cuttings, it is best to provide it with a maintenance environment of 15-25℃. It is best not to let the temperature drop below 3℃, otherwise it will be detrimental to the survival of the plant.
